Nothing to mix, nothing to spray, no residue on the leaves and no re-entry interval — you tip them onto the plant and leave them to it. They work the leaf undersides and the growing tips a spray would never wet, they find the pest themselves, and neither thrips nor whitefly can develop resistance to being eaten. Safe around people, pets and anything you plan to eat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne case where swirskii is specifically the right mite: \u003cem\u003eEchinothrips\u003c\/em\u003e — the dark, sluggish thrips that lives on the leaf blade and the lower leaves rather than in the flowers. Predatory mites generally do worse against it than against western flower thrips, and swirskii is one of only two species shown to reduce it on actual plants. Adding pollen improved that result. It wants warmth and humidity — below about 64°F it stops being the right choice, and below 60% RH egg hatch falls off.
