Wind and stability

Water level and daily care

Keep enough water in the base to cover the pump so it never runs dry. A small reservoir on a compact piece drops quickly, so check every few days in warm weather rather than weekly.

Clear leaves from the tiers. On short falls a blockage on one ledge diverts a whole level.

Looking after the painted finish

The bears, the hive and the bark are painted resin. Years of unbroken sun will lift some depth out of the colour, most visibly on the figures. Afternoon shade keeps it looking new longer. Clean with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off the paint.

Winter storage
