Set it on a level, solid surface with a wall, fence, or hedge behind it. Fill the basin, plug it in, and check that it sits flat before you turn it on, because a sheet flow fountain out of level will run heavier on one side. One person can handle placement at 26.46 pounds.

Route the cord along the base of the wall rather than across the patio. Because it is rated for indoor use as well, an entryway, sunroom, or covered porch is fair game.

Water level and wind
