Water level and daily care

Keep enough water in the base to cover the pump so it never runs dry. Open pours lose more to evaporation and wind drift than water running down a surface, so check every few days in warm weather.

Clear debris from the buckets and the stone base. A blocked pail overflows down the outside of the structure rather than passing water on to the next.

Looking after the wood grain finish

The timber texture and the rope detail are painted resin, and years of direct sun will lift some depth out of the colour. A position with afternoon shade keeps it looking new longer. Clean with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off the paint.

Winter storage
