Luxury Crystal Cloche With White Onyx Tray

I have a fascination with natural stones. When I discovered I could get pieces customized in onyx, I began to look into different applications.

Onyx has a hardness similar to quartz, ranging from 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Therefore, it is not appropriate for large structures, something that stone cutters of antiquity knew well. Onyx has been used for centuries on decorative pieces or small everyday utensils. 

I created a faceted Luxury Crystal Cloche on crystal glass with the help of one of my crystal suppliers, and the challenge was to fit it with an interesting tray. So, I chose to work with onyx to make my cloches stand out. Our Luxury Crystal Cloche features a custom, real white onyx tray, the only one of its kind.

To call it a Luxury Crystal Cloche, it had to be crystal, and it had to have an additional level of luxury, adequately provided by the white onyx. The bell is delicately finished in a high-reflective, polished, faceted texture that reflects and refracts light, and a sparkling gold-plated knob. I use our Luxury Crystal Cloche to keep candles protected from dust, and some of my boutique clients use it as a product display.
