The Only One Here That Runs Sideways
Every other fountain in this range builds upward. This one does not. At 39 inches wide and 19 inches tall it is a horizontal water feature, a ground level creek rather than a standing waterfall. Water crosses from one side to the other through a series of pools, dropping over stone ledges and past weathered driftwood on the way. You look along it rather than up at it.
That orientation solves a specific problem. A tall fountain in front of a border blocks the planting behind it, and in a low bed it looks stranded. A wide low piece runs along the front of a bed instead of interrupting it, sits under a window without covering the view, and fills the gap at the base of a wall where a vertical piece would look wrong. If the space you are trying to furnish is long and low, this is the shape that fits it.
LEDs sit submerged in the pools rather than aimed at the stone, so after dark the water surfaces glow from underneath and the driftwood reads in silhouette against them. It is also rated for indoor use, and a low wide water feature works along a hallway wall or in a sunroom in a way a tall one does not.

- Light under the water, not on the rock. The LEDs are submerged in the pools, so what glows at night is the water surface itself. The driftwood and stone read as dark shapes against lit water, which is closer to how a real creek looks in moonlight than a lit ornament looks.
- Driftwood as well as stone. Aged wood crossings between the rock pools give a texture contrast that an all stone piece cannot, and driftwood reads as something the water carried there rather than something arranged.
Close and gentle. The falls between pools are short, so this is a soft trickle you notice from a few feet away rather than a sound that carries across a garden. That suits its position, since a low horizontal piece is usually placed where people pass close to it. It will not cover traffic and it is not trying to. How loud it seems will still shift with the water level and whether it sits against a wall, which is why a fixed decibel number would tell you nothing useful about your own space.

Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Fill it, plug it in, done. No plumbing and nothing to bury. Set it level before filling, because a horizontal water path out of level pushes the whole flow to one end and the far pools run dry.
Think about the viewing line rather than the viewing distance. This piece is read from the side and from above, so a path edge, a border front, or a low wall base suits it. Placed in the middle of an open lawn it disappears.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water to cover the pump at all times. A wide shallow piece has a lot of surface area relative to its volume, so evaporation is faster than the size suggests and it needs checking more often than a tall narrow fountain.
Clear leaves out of the pools. On a horizontal path a blocked ledge stops the flow reaching everything downstream of it.
Winter storage
Before hard freezes, drain every pool completely, disconnect and store the pump indoors, and let the piece dry out. Shallow pools freeze faster than deep reservoirs, so this one needs attention earlier in the season than a tall fountain does.

Where does a horizontal fountain actually go?
Along the front of a garden border, under a window, at the base of a wall or fence, beside a path, or on a patio edge. Anywhere the space available is wide and low rather than tall. It also works indoors along a wall in a sunroom or a wide hallway, where a vertical piece would need clearance it does not have.
Is it too small to be a focal point?
At 19 inches high it is not going to anchor an open lawn, and it is honest to say so. What it does instead is furnish a horizontal space that no tall fountain can fill. If you want something to see from across the garden, choose a vertical piece. If you want water where you walk past it, this is the one.
Can it go indoors?
Yes, it is rated for both, and the low wide format is unusually well suited to it. It needs a surface that tolerates the occasional splash and an outlet within reach. A sunroom, a wide hallway, or a low console are all workable.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Being low and wide it is stable and there is nothing to topple, but the pools are within easy reach of a small child or a dog, so place it away from where either plays unsupervised. Run the cord along a bed edge or wall so it will not catch a foot. The recirculating water is not intended for drinking.
