Setup, Care, and Warranty
Setup and placement
Fill it, plug it in, done. No plumbing and nothing to bury. Set it level before filling, since a tilted trunk sends the flow down one side of the bark rather than through the texture as intended.
Give it something behind it. Two cubs on a tree need planting or greenery for context, and against a bare wall or in open lawn the figures lose the setting that makes them read as woodland.
Water level and daily care
Keep enough water in the reservoir to cover the pump so it never runs dry. Water running across textured bark spreads thin and evaporates faster than a contained stream, so check every few days in warm weather.
Clear leaves and debris from the trunk top and the base recess. On a textured surface a blockage sends water off the side of the trunk instead of down the bark.
Looking after the painted finish
The bark and fur detail are painted resin, and years of full sun will lift some depth out of the colour, most visibly on the darker areas. A position with afternoon shade keeps it looking new longer. Clean with a soft cloth and keep harsh liquid cleaners off the paint.
Winter storage

Questions Before You Choose
Where does it look right?
Garden beds and lawn corners with planting behind them, woodland and naturalistic settings, family gardens where a character piece is the intention. It needs breathing room and green context. It does not suit a formal courtyard or a minimal modern patio, where sculpted animals read as out of place regardless of how well made they are.
How is it different from a single bear fountain?
A single figure is identified and passed. Two cubs at different heights imply something happening between them, so the eye moves and people look longer. It also reads from further away, since the relationship between two shapes is visible at a distance where facial detail is not.
Is it too much of a theme?
Worth being honest about. A character based fountain announces a subject, and once it is in the garden that subject is what people see first. Is it safe around children and pets?
